 Child Protection

At the time of registration, parents should have signed a consent form to allow their children's photos to appear on the website.  If you do not wish to have your child's photos published on the website or have any concerns please see/ contact John Murray (Child Protection Officer).

NSW legislation and AFL NSW/ACT actively support child protection in the community.  All coaching staff, committee members and volunteer parents are required to complete "Working with Children" declarations, so that persons must declare if they have been convicted of a child sex offence, or are considered unsuitable to work with children.  In addition to this, abuse of any kind (verbal, physical, emotional) is not acceptable behaviour.  Breaches of the Code of Conduct should be reported immediately and directly to the Child Protection Officer.

If a parent has a problem with the Coach, or in the treatment of their child, that they firstly raise that problem with the coach in question and then if dissatisfied by either the outcome of that meeting or subsequent actions taken/not taken, the matter should be escalated to the Child Protection Officer.
